NFL combine 2011: Player workouts

NFL prospects, including Cam Newton and A.J. Green, perform agility drills for scouts at the NFL football scouting combine in Indianapolis.

Georgia's A.J. Green was among the players highlights at this year's NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. Green posted a 4.48 in the 40-yard dash.

Auburn quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Cam Newton struggled in passing drills, connecting on 11 of 21 attempts. Newton ran a 4.59 40-yard dash, and his vertical leap was 35 inches.

Georgia Tech running back Anthony Allen was among the top performers in all seven of the physical competitions, topped by having the highest vertical jump (41.5 inches).

Georgia running back Shaun Chapas was a top performer in the bench press ( 23 reps) and vertical jump (35-1/2 inches).

Georgia's Clint Boling was one of the top offensive linemen in the bench press (28 reps) and vertical jump (31 inches).

UGA cornerback Vance Cuff catches a pass. Cuff had one of the best cornerback vertical jumps, at 36 inches.

Georgia offensive lineman Josh Davis didn't perform as well as his teammate.

Abilene Christian's Edmond Gates runs the 40 in 4.37 seconds despite a lingering groin injury. He was tied for the best time among receivers.

Fort Valley State's Ricardo Lockette also ran the 40 in 4.37 seconds. The receiver interviewed with Falcons executives Friday night.

Julio Jones had an impressive NFL combine, running 4.39 in the 40 plus he had a broad jump of 11 feet, 3 inches and a vertical jump of 38 1/2 inches.
