Falcons safety William Moore, who played at Missouri, was emotional when he received the news that coach Gary Pinkel was resigning for health reasons.

He was also proud of the football players who protested against racial issues at the SEC school that led to the president’s resignation.

“I got emotional sitting around the house watching that because I know what kind of coach he is, what kind of person he is,” Moore said. “I love him to death. My main concern is for Coach Pinkel as a person and his health comes first.”

Moore also watched the protest with great interest.

“I’m very proud of the players and the coaches standing up as one,” Moore said. “The coach supporting the players was very huge. That’s not surprising to me because of the coaching staff that I was around.”

Moore described the school as a “positive place” for him.

“I’m sure they’ll pull through it and bring it back to life,” Moore said.
