Peyton Manning will officially announce his retirement from the NFL after 18 seasons on Monday, according to multiple reports.

Manning, fresh off a Super Bowl victory, the second of his career, has told Broncos official John Elway that he will not return to the league in a decision many have expected and the Denver Post reported last week.

“Peyton was a player that guys wanted to play with,” Elway said in an AP report. “That made us better as a team and I’m thrilled that we were able to win a championship in his final year.”
