INDIANAPOLIS – Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson, the popular pick to land with the Falcons in several pre-combine mock drafts, had an informal meeting the team at the combine.

“The meeting went great,” said Lawson on Friday. “I had fun with the defensive line coach down there, talking it up.”

The Falcons already have three linemen from Clemson in defensive ends Vic Beasley and Malliciah Goodman along with defensive tackle Grady Jarrett.

“Those guys like Grady, Vic and Malliciah, it would be great to play with those guys again,” Lawson said. “Those guys taught me a lot while I was at Clemson and I feel like they would teach me a lot if I join their team.”
