San Francisco 49ers Colin Kaepernick is making headlines again after the controversy involving his decision to kneel during the national anthem before a preseason game.

Coach Chip Kelly made an announcement on Tuesday saying that Kaepernick will be the starting quarterback come Sunday, taking Blaine Gabbert's spot.

“We need to improve on the offensive side of the ball, and this is the decision we’ve made,” Kelly said.

The 49ers, who’ve lost four games in a row, will play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

The last time Kaepernick started in a game was on Nov. 1, 2015, according to The Daily Beast.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg recently spoke out about Kaepernick's decision to take a knee during the national anthem, along with the many others who've followed in his footsteps.

"I think it's really dumb of them," Ginsburg said in a Yahoo! News interview with Katie Couric. "Would I arrest them for doing it? No. I think it's dumb and disrespectful. I would have the same answer if you asked me about flag burning."
