After igniting the Falcons’ 20-13 win over the unbeaten Carolina Panthers with a 70-yard touchdown, Julio Jones was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for week 16.

Against the Panthers, Jones caught for 178 yards, averaging 19.8 yards per reception.

This is the second time this season Jones was awarded the honor after his two touchdown, 141-yard performance against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 1.

This season, Jones leads the NFL with 1,722 receiving yards headed into the Falcons’ final game of the season against the Saints.

Jones set franchise records this season with 127 catches and 1,722 receiving yards. He is the second player behind Marvin Harrison in league history to catch for more than 125 catches and 1,700 receiving yards in a season.

Last week along with Falcons’ running back Devonta Freeman, Jones was named to his third Pro Bowl.
