1. Look for the Falcons to throw the ball deep more often. The team didn’t do a 5-for-1 trade to acquire Julio Jones to have him run a bunch of slants and 2-yard check-down routes.

2. Look for the Falcons to use their no-huddle attack more often. Offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey is very comfortable with Matt Ryan making decisions at the line of scrimmage.

3. The Falcons could use more zone defense this season if they don’t believe the cornerbacks can hold up in man-to-man coverage. They have seven games against teams that were ranked in the top 12 in the NFL in passing offense last season.

4. Defensive end John Abraham mostly stayed on the right side last season. Look for him to flip over to the left side more often this season with Ray Edwards.

5. Michael Turner has led the NFL in carries in two of the past three seasons. Look for his carries to be cut as the team shifts to more of a passing philosophy.
