The Falcons signed quarterback Trevor Knight, who was in training camp with the Cardinals, to the practice squad Wednesday.

To make room for Knight, who played at Oklahoma and Texas A&M, the Falcons cut defensive tackle Taniela Tupou.

Knight signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in May. He was waived Saturday. He was 7-of-28 passing (25 percent) for 87 yards, no touchdowns and one interception during the exhibition season. He had a passer rating of 25.1.

Alek Torgersen, who was the Falcons’ fourth quarterback in the exhibition season, signed with the Redskins.
