The Falcons and Broncos will kick off the NFL’s 100th season in the 2019 Hall of Fame Game.

The annual preseason game will take place starting at 8 p.m. Aug. 1 in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

The game marks the fourth appearance by each club in the annual classic. Both teams own 1-2 records.

Former Chiefs and Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez and Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and cornerback Champ Bailey, who played collegiately at Georgia, will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame on Aug. 3.

“We are fired up to kick off the NFL’s 100th season in the Hall of Fame Game,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said in a statement released by the Hall of Fame.  “We are honored to play in Canton and be a part of the celebration for all of the inductees. This is also an opportunity for us to strengthen our connection and our brotherhood with additional time on the field.”

The Falcon last played in the Hall of Fame game in 1994, a 21-17 win over the Chargers.
