The Falcons, who re-signed Derrick Shelby on Thursday, are not interested in signing defensive end Robert Ayers at this time of the offseason.

Ayers, according to a NFL media report, is planning to drive over from Tampa to the NFL owner's meeting in Orlando to meet with several teams, including the Falcons. The owner's meeting starts on Sunday and runs through Wednesday.

While they could meet, he’s likely on the team’s backup list in case of injury.

Ayers, 32, was released by the Bucs on Saturday.
