Coach Dan Quinn said the Falcons’ final four division games come at an opportune time for his team.
“For us in particular, I think it’s a great matchup,” Quinn said. “Having the division games at the end, I think is just a really cool thing about the league. As we get right down to it, there’s so much familiarity in division games.”
After facing the Buccaneers for the second time this season on Sunday, the Falcons (6-4) will face the perfect Panther (11-0) twice in three weeks.
Currently in second place in the NFC South, the Falcons will end their season with a rematch of their 31-21 loss against the Saints (4-7) in Atlanta on Jan. 3.
Wide receiver Julio Jones said he’s not looking ahead at the division schedule and what each game means for playoff rankings. Rather, he said he’s processing the remainder of the season one week at a time.
“You (can) get complacent looking ahead at the next four or five games. You got to take it one game at a time,” Jones said. “We got to give our all every game, but we have to start this week with Tampa Bay.”
