FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons running back Devonta Freeman was jogging through his neighborhood when he noticed an elderly woman struggling with her lawn work.

The Falcons Pro Bowl running back stopped and assisted Eleanor Szendel, 82, with emptying her lawnclippings.

“I was just walking in my neighborhood and I saw this old lady, it was motivation to me because she was out there cutting her grass and trying to empty the bag on her lawnmower,” Freeman said. “I was like, you can get my number and call me whenever you need your grass cut and I’ll do it for you. She looked like she was about 80, 90 years old. I was just like I will do it for you.”

Freeman took a picture with Szendel and thought nothing much of it. He went on about his day.

"The lady's daughter has kids and I think she had like three kids that went to FSU, so they knew me," said Freeman, who played at Florida State. "We took a picture and she sent it to them. I didn't know that they were going to put it on instagram and make it go big."
