Falcons starting middle linebacker Deion Jones, who suffered an ankle injury against the Panthers, did not practice on Wednesday.

The originally announced that he had a calf injury.

“We are just going to take it day by day,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said. “If the game was today he wouldn’t be able to (play). We are just going to take it all the way through the week. He was able to do some things, but we are not there yet.”

If Jones, who’s tied for the team lead with 30 tackles, can’t play against the Broncos, reserve linebacker LaRoy Reynolds will take his place in the starting lineup.

Reynolds played 11 of the 71 defensive snaps against the Panthers and finished with three tackles.

In addition to Jones, punter Matt Bosher didn’t practice. He has a right hamstring injury.
