Falcons defensive end Takkarist McKinley suffered an apparent setback in his recovery from his shoulder injury.

The trainer looked at his right arm during practice Saturday and then lifted both arms from the elbow a few times.  McKinley, who was pulled from the remainder of practice, is trying to rebound from offseason shoulder surgery.

The Falcons just completed a brisk two-hour practice.

Here are the five things we learned:

1. Fullback battle. Luke McNitt started out with the first-team offense in 11-on-11. The Falcons are looking for a replacement for Derrick Coleman, who was not re-signed. McNitt has to beat out Daniel Marx and Ricky Ortiz, who didn't help himself when fumbled during the gauntlet drill.

2. Right guard. Wes Schweitzer, the incumbent starter, opened with the first-team offense. Brandon Fusco, who was signed to a three-year, $12.75 million deal in the offseason, ran with the second team.

3.  Left guard. As the Falcons eased Andy Levitre back into the line, Ben Garland worked at left guard during 11-on-11.

4. Returners. The Falcons had wide receivers Justin Hardy, Marvin Hall, Reggie Davis and first-round draft pick Calvin Ridley catching the live punts.

5. Injury report. Although linebacker DeVondre Campbell walked off the field with his helmet Friday, all 91 players were present for practice.
