QB CORNER: Matt Ryan

Oct 11, 2014

Here’s the QB corner with Matt Ryan and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s D. Orlando Ledbetter:

Q: Are you glad that you are playing at home this week?

A: When we get back home, that's a good thing for us. Coach Mike Smith talks about it all the time. We want to be tough and defend the (Georgia Dome) every chance that we get.

Q: Is this an early-season must-win between two 2-3 NFC teams with playoff aspirations?

A: We can't worry about how things are going to shake out in January. At this point, we just have to focus on this week.

Q: Can you explain the difference between the team’s performance at home (2-0) vs. on the road (0-3)?

A: I wish we could figure it out in order to be more consistent week to week. When you're at home, from a communication standpoint, it's a little bit easier. It's not quite as loud and that helps us to a certain extent. Across the board I think, home or away, we need to be more consistent.

Q: Should NFL players even be on social media?

A: That's part of the deal. Especially now, I think it's probably more intense than when I first got into the league. But people are going to have their opinions, and you can't worry about it. You just have to go out and focus on doing the best job that you can. Ultimately, if you do that and you win some games, all of the other stuff takes care of itself.
