Falcons assistant head coach/wide receivers Raheem Morris is overseeing a fierce competition within his position group.

Julio Jones is the clear number one. Mohamed Sanu is being pushed by Justin Hardy.

The spots behind the top three are being hotly contested early in training camp.

“Aldrick Robinson, (Jordan) Leslie, J.D. (McKissic) and some of our young guys in David Glidden, a bunch of guys are fighting,” Morris said. “Some of our new guys, they’ve really been a pleasant addition to the team.”

Nick Williams, who made the team last season, is playing well.

“He does a lot of nice things,” Morris said.

Also, Corey Washington, who was signed recently, has made some nice catches in practice.

Morris didn’t even mention seven-rounder Devin Fuller and veteran Eric Weems and both of them are playing well, too.
