The Atlanta Falcons returned to work at Flowery Branch with the start of the offseason training programs. Falcons head coach Mike Smith said, "It’s invigorating to have some activity here at Flowery Branch."

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said that wide receiver Julio Jones and offensive tackle Sam Baker "look good" as they recover from their injuries.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith gave some updates on the players and offered some insight into the team's offseason workouts. He expressed disappointment in last season and said he had fully expected the team to return to the playoffs.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan spoke briefly about moving on without future Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez, saying that Levine Toilolo got a lot of work with the first-team offense last season because Gonzalez didn't practice much with the team.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith says part of the team's offseason strengthening program will include pushing more weight in an effort of getting bigger and stronger.

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said he can attest "Southern hospitality is real" as fans in Atlanta have been pleasant to him after the team's 4-12 season.
