2008, Round 1, Pick 3: Matt Ryan, quarterback, became the starter as a rookie and has set franchise marks for yards and touchdowns. Where is he now? Ryan signed a record-setting, five-year contract extension in July 2013. He is the only remaining member of Dimitroff's first draft class still on the active roster.
Through 12 NFL Drafts under general manager Thomas Dimitroff, the Falcons have selected nearly 90 players. (Click through the images above to see all 86 picks and where they are now.)
Ten of those selections — Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman, Vic Beasley, Desmond Trufant, Austin Hooper, Thomas DeCoud, William Moore, Deion Jones and Keanu Neal — have made a Pro Bowl. About two dozen have been primary starters for more than two seasons.
The Falcons prepare for Dimitroff's 13th draft, April 23-25 in Las Vegas, following a year when they selected the third-lowest ranked draft class of 2019.
The Falcons hold the 16th pick in the 2020 draft, and will have have eight picks overall, four among the top 100.
