Atlanta United players could face off in friendly

A few things to know about Atlanta United this week:

1. A pair of Atlanta United players could face off on Tuesday when Darlington Nagbe and the U.S. play Miguel Almiron and Paraguay in a friendly in Cary, N.C. at 7 p.m.. The game will be televised on FS1 and Unimas.

2. After a week off, Atlanta United will play Minnesota United at 8 p.m. Saturday at TFC Bank Stadium.

3. Last year’s meeting between the two teams was played in the snow and ended with Atlanta United’s first win, a 6-1 victory in which Josef Martinez notched his first hat trick.

4. Martinez just needs one more hat trick to tie the all-time league record of five. Martinez has played just 23 games in MLS.

5. After winning its inaugural game 3-1 against New York Red Bulls II on Saturday behind two goals from Jon Gallagher, Atlanta United 2 will play at Charlotte at 7 p.m. Saturday.
