Fans react: Georgia hires Tom Crean as basketball coach

Georgia announced Thursday the University will hire former Indiana and Marquette coach Tom Crean as basketball coach.
Crean replaces former Bulldogs coach Mark Fox who was fired Saturday after nine seasons and a 163-133 overall record.
Crean agreed to a six-year deal with the Bulldogs, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Here’s what fans had to say about the hire:
Tom Crean’s last game was a loss to Georgia Tech. Crean had trouble recruiting to one of the game’s tradition-rich programs, yet UGA fans somehow think he will be able to recruit to a place where they don’t give a crap about basketball.

Tom Crean is a really good basketball coach, and was excellent on TV this season as an analyst. A gift to the game.
