Atlanta Braves third baseman Adonis Garcia will most likely miss the next two months after undergoing finger surgery, the Braves announced on Wednesday.

Garcia had surgery on Monday to repair ligament damage in his left ring finger after being placed on the 10-day disabled list on June 7.

Rio "Big River" Ruiz is likely to see some action and regular playing time in Garcia's absence.

Garcia has a .247 batting average, 16 RBI and four home runs in 38 games this season.

The Braves released a statement on Garcia on Wednesday afternoon.
