The Falcons plan to open the retractable roof of Mercedes-Benz Stadium for Thursday night’s exhibition game against the Miami Dolphins.

The roof is scheduled to be opened one hour before the 7 p.m. kickoff, according to a stadium spokeswoman.

Opening the roof should take about eight minutes.

If all goes as planned, it’ll be just the second time the roof will be in the open position for a Falcons game. The other was for the 2017 regular-season home opener against the Green Bay Packers.

Work on the complex, eight-piece roof was completed in July, 11 months after the $1.5 billion stadium hosted its first event.
