Langston Hughes High School cornerback Telly Plummer cut his list of top schools to five over the weekend and once again, Georgia Tech made the cut.

A 6-foot, 185 pound senior from Fairburn, Plummer cut Maryland, Pitt, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia from his Top 10 list released on May 20.

Plummer tweeted late on Sunday that top five included Georgia Tech, Louisville, Mississippi, Notre Dame and Penn State.

While the 3-star had favorable things to say about all five of his top picks, the Institute offers an academic quality the others don’t.

“It is the best of both worlds at Georgia Tech,” Plummer said, according to Rivals. “I have a chance to play early there, it is a great academic school and it is a good football program.”

Plummer told Rivals he to announce his commitment during his senior season at Langston Hughes.
