For the first time since his July 24 surgery, Dream coach Michael Cooper will make an appearance on the Philips Arena sideline.

Cooper, who underwent a surgical procedure for tongue cancer, will not be speaking to media after the game or assuming full head coach responsibilities from assistant coach Karleen Thompson, yet. His doctor, J. Trad Wadsworth said Cooper is doing well after the surgery. He expects Cooper to make a full recovery.

It is still unknown whether Cooper will join the Dream on its week-long four-game trip, which begins Tuesday in Phoenix. Cooper’s return to coaching duties will be limited and subject to Wadsworth’s approval.
