A New Jersey judge on Thursday has dismissed domestic violence charges against Ray Rice, according to reports.
Judge Michael A. Donio dismissed the charges after Rice completed a pretrial intervention program.
Rice entered a not guilty plea to charges of hitting his then-fiancee, Janay Palmer, in an Atlantic City casino elevator in February 2014. Surveillance video showed him dragging Rice, who is now his wife, off the elevator. The former Ravens running back was charged with felony aggravated assault.
IN a deal with prosecutors last year, Rice entered an intervention program for a minimum of one year in exchange for the third-degree aggravated assault charges being dropped.
The arrest will remain on his record without the conviction.
Rice was suspended for two games by the NFL and was later released by the Ravens. Rice remains unsigned.
