Wearing a singlet and a pair of shorts in 20-degree temperatures, Geraint Davies won the Atlanta Half Marathon with a time of 1 hour, 9 minutes and 50 seconds on Thursday morning.
Davies, a former Emory University student athlete, edged second- and third-place finishers by less than a minute.
Jill Horst of Rome came in first in the women’s competition at 1:20:25, pulling away at Mile 10.
There was a field of 11,000 runners and walkers.
