Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who has thrown seven interceptions in the past two games, is set for a rematch with Seattle.

The Falcons defeated the Seahawks 30-28 in the NFC divisional round of the playoffs last season.

Here’s a brief Q&A involving Ryan and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s D. Orlando Ledbetter.

Q: What are your thoughts on Seattle?

A: That's a very good defense. A strong front seven. A deep front seven. They have a lot of defensive linemen that they rotate through. There are a lot of good players. On the back end, they've got two big physical corners. Guys that press really well.

Q: What makes Richard Sherman a good cornerback?

A: He's the complete package. He's got great size. He's got great strength. He's very good in terms of jamming guys off the line of scrimmage. He moves his hips really well for a big guy. He can transition really, really well. He had great ball skills. He can go make a play on the ball like a wide receiver. I think the combination of all those things make him a great player.

Q: What makes Earl Thomas a great free safety?

A: I think he's definitely one of the best, if not the best free safety in the league. I think his ability to cover as much ground as he does, sideline to sideline, with as much single-high safety as they play. It's really, really impressive. He's got great speed. Great instincts. Then he's physical, too. He'll come up, and he'll hit people.
