A controversial message was posted on Steelers' Ryan Shazier's Instagram and Twitter accounts Friday night.  It was deleted 40 minutes later, but Pittsburgh news station WPXI has it.

A photo saying, "Would you smack your ex for a million dollars?"

Shazier's added a comment, saying, "Lol. I thought this was funny."

WPXI's Bill Phillips called the Steelers but didn't hear back.

Shazier later posted an apology, saying, "Previous post does not reflect the serious issue re: domestic violence.  I need to use the platform.  I have to help end d-v.  #nomore."

Steelers owner Art Rooney is involved with the investigation into how the NFL handled the alleged Ray Rice domestic violence.

The Steelers play the Baltimore Ravens in Pittsburgh Sunday night.
