Colts to hire Josh McDaniels as head coach

The Indianapolis Colts are expected to hire New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as head coach, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Monday.

Since joining the Patriots staff in 2012, McDaniels won five Super Bowl Championships.

McDaniels will replace Colts former coach Chuck Pagano who was fired on Dec. 31 after six seasons.

The Colts have not confirmed the hire as of Monday afternoon.
