With the injury to Aaron Murray, quarterback Hutson Mason (14) will be making his first career start for the Bulldogs against Georgia Tech on Nov. 30 in Atlanta. Here's a look at the Bulldogs' imminent future at the position:

Hutson Mason set the Georgia high school records for passing yards (4,560) and passing touchdowns (54) in his senior year at Cobb County's Lassiter High School in 2009.

Huston Mason, who was the AJC’s Class AAAAA Player of the Year in 2009, was recruited late by a number of schools, including Georgia. Rated a 3-star prospect by a number of outlets, Mason was the Bulldogs' lone quarterback recruit on Signing Day 2010.

Hutson Mason entered his freshman season at Georgia as the Bulldogs' third quarterback on scholarship after the dismissal of Zach Mettenberger. The Georgia depth chart listed him third behind Aaron Murray and Logan Gray at the position.

Before Saturday's game, Hutson Mason had appeared in eight games for Georgia, passing for 705 yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception. His career highlight came against New Mexico State in 2011, when he went 8-for-10 for 131 yards. His longest pass completion came against New Mexico State - a 46-yard throw to Chris Conley.

Quarterback Hutson Mason (14) will be making his first career start Nov. 30 against Georgia Tech in Atlanta, coach Mark Richt has said, "We have faith and confidence in Hutson."

Aaron Murray's understudy since his freshman season in 2010, Hutson Mason (14) chose to take a redshirt as a junior in 2012 and was destined to take over as Georgia's starter once Murray departed.

Hutson Mason entered Saturday's game against Kentucky in the first half, following Aaron Murray's season-ending knee injury. Mason completed 13 of 19 passes for 189 yards, 1 touchdown, no interceptions and 1 touchdown run against the Wildcats. With Mason under center, Georgia finished with its most points in an SEC game since a 62-17 romp over Kentucky in 2004.

For Bulldogs fans who haven't seen Hutson Mason play, Georgia head coach Mark Richt compares Mason to another former Georgia star: "David Greene and [Mason] are similar in the type of ball they throw," Richt said. "They have a great sense of anticipation. The put it to a spot before the guy gets his head around."
