USC guard Jordan Usher has transferred to Georgia Tech. A Wheeler High grad who was a four-star prospect coming out of high school, Usher was to enroll for the spring semester Tuesday.

Usher takes the final available scholarship for the 2018-19 team. He will be eligible to play following the end of the 2019 fall semester and be able to play the remainder of the 2019-20 season and the entire 2020-21 season.

Usher, who is 6-foot-7 and 230 pounds, averaged 8.6 points and 3.7 rebounds in 24.2 minutes per game. He is said to be a high-motor player who, starting next season, would give the Jackets more depth at the wing position. He showed scoring pop this season with the Trojans, twice scoring 22 points.

Usher announced his decision to transfer on New Year’s Eve and was seen at Tech’s ACC opener against Wake Forest on Saturday at McCamish Pavilion.
