Antwuan Jackson, a defensive tackle from Cedar Grove, fell in love with Auburn early and never wavered. He already has enrolled.

Three things to know about Jackson:

1. Description that fits: The first word that Cedar Grove coach Jermaine Smith uses to describe to Jackson is "unselfishness." That characteristic stuck with Jackson all the way through until the last play of his high school career. On the final play of Cedar Grove's season-ending playoff loss to Westminster, Smith called a goal-line handoff to Jackson. Down 24-0, the outcome had been decided, when Jackson contributed one last unselfish act for his team.

“His best friend was our tailback,” Smith said. “(Jackson) moved his best friend to fullback , so he could score instead of him.”

2. Two-way player: In Jackson, Auburn is getting an athletic 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive tackle, who started on both offensive and defensive lines for four seasons at Cedar Grove. Jackson chose Auburn over finalists Ohio State, Georgia and Florida. He announced his decision during a ceremony in December at Cedar Grove and enrolled at Auburn on Jan. 11.

3. Able to play fullback: A beast in the weight room, Jackson is powerful and mobile. He played fullback at times for Cedar Grove this season, scoring a handful of touchdowns.
