UGA football team hits the pool

UGA coach Mark Richt takes his football team to the school's student pool so players can have a morning of fun instead of practice.

UGA football coach Mark Richt gave his players the morning off from the Bulldogs' scheduled practice. Instead, the coach took the team swimming at the school's Ramsay Student Center. Richt broke the ice by taking the first dive off the 10-meter platform.

This is the second-straight year Richt has displayed his diving skills to players at UGA's indoor swimmming facility.

Chillin' out: Some players hit the hot tub and watched as their teammates took to the high dive. The Bulldogs were expected to return to the practice field Wednesday afternoon.

Even though it was a morning for fun, Richt took time to read football-related announcements to the team, including upcoming practice plans.
