Randrecous Davis, WR, Mays – South Carolina

1. On the move. Davis, a dynamic 5-11, 175-pound receiver, committed to South Carolina on Wednesday, choosing the Gamecocks over Miami, Fla. He had committed to Georgia in July, but reopened his recruiting after the coaching change at Georgia. He visited South Carolina last weekend and also considered joining former UGA coach Mark Richt at Miami.

2. Quite a catch. Davis had a monster senior season at Mays, capping a prolific high school career with 58 catches for 1,024 yards with 17 receiving touchdowns. He also returned two punts for scores and threw a touchdown pass.

3. Freaky fast. A gifted, yet humble athlete, Davis has "legit 4.4" speed, according to Mays coach Corey Jarvis. Jarvis pointed to a play in the 2014 state championship game that best showed Davis' abilities. "He took a shallow route, turned it up and outran one kid," Jarvis recalled. "Then, he planted his and was gone."
