Two dismissed from Tech baseball team

April 25, 2013

Georgia Tech catcher Connor Lynch and relief pitcher Clay Dalton were dismissed from the team earlier this month for what coach Danny Hall called “conduct detrimental to the team.”

Hall said neither will be permitted back on the team, but did not provide more information. Lynch, a sophomore, started 24 games last season and played 10 games this season, starting seven. He was a highly-rated prospect who proved a valuable backup as a freshman. Dalton, a senior, made two appearances out of the bullpen this season. For his career, Dalton made 37 appearances, all in relief, with a career 3.48 ERA.

Tech begins a three-game series Friday at Clemson with a doubleheader.
