Georgia Tech coach Geoff Collins has his first two commitments of the 2020 recruiting class. Quarterback Tucker Gleason of Tampa, Fla., and tight end Billy Ward of Locust Grove High both made announcements through their Twitter accounts Thursday that they have accepted scholarship offers to sign with Tech.

Gleason, a three-star prospect from Florida high school powerhouse Plant High, reported his scholarship offer from Tech on Feb. 28. He had received offers from Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia Tech and Duke, among others. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 206 pounds, he is the No. 30 pro-style quarterback in the country and the No. 91 prospect overall in the state of Florida (247Sports Composite).

Ward is rated the No. 27 tight end prospect nationally and the No. 64 prospect in the state of Georgia by 247Sports. Ward, 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, also reported offers from Virginia, Boston College, Louisville and West Virginia, among others. He was named to the AJC’s all-state team for Class AAAAA. Ward announced his offer from Tech on Jan. 22.
