David Travers is leaving Georgia State’s men’s basketball program after the spring semester. Coach Ron Hunter said Travers is homesick, something that began to surface around the Christmas break.
Travers is supposed to leave in good academic standing, so Georgia State’s APR shouldn’t be negatively affected.
A freshman from Carlsbad, Calif., Travers averaged 1.9 points in 8.5 minutes per game backing up Devonta White. However, Travers rarely turned over the ball, committing just 12 in 27 games.
