Wide receiver Terry Godwin flirted with playing professional baseball, but opted to join the Bulldogs.

Godwin committed to UGA in January of 2014. But the recruitment of this 5-star athlete out of Callaway High by schools all over the country continued right up until signing day. He included his family to make his announcement.

Godwin's accomplishments as a multi-positional player earned him AJC Super 11 honors and a 5-star recruiting ranking.

Godwin also is an exceptional baseball player. The pitcher and infielder got a tryout with the Atlanta Braves, who would later draft him in the 33rd round of the Major League Baseball draft. Godwin chose not to sign and stick with the Bulldogs, for whom he plans to play both football and baseball.

Georgia did not leave Godwin's recruitment to chance. The Bulldogs signed his sister, Terryuana, to a basketball scholarship last year. The rising senior averaged 0.5 points and 0.1 rebounds in eight games at UGA last season.
