WHAT HE SAID

On if his official visit opened his eyes to committing to Georgia Tech: "It really surprised me, the school did. I didn't expect the campus life to be like it is. You can actually have the college experience outside of the whole thing about it being in the middle of Atlanta."

On if he knew he wanted to commit to Tech before his official visit: "No, I actually didn't. … Seeing how campus life is, like I was hanging out with different players. My friend Gentry Bonds is an early enrollee, so I got to hang out with him down there and talk with him, and he just persuaded me, and we got it done."

On the first impressions of his signing class: "I think it's going to be a strong class. I know a lot of the other athletes, and I've seen their film, and I know what they can do. I believe that our class coming in will be strong."
