Georgia Tech heads to Virginia Tech for an ACC showdown with the Hokies. Here's what to look for.

Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson has a chance to lead the Yellow Jackets to a second straight ACC victory on the road, something that seemed very unlikely before the season began. With a win, Georgia Tech will be 2-0 in the ACC for just the second time in 10 years. The last two times that happened, Tech won its division (2006) or the conference (1998).

Virginia Tech rolled into Bobby Dodd Stadium last November and handed the Yellow Jackets a 27-3 drubbing.

Virginia Tech will look to jumpstart its sluggish offense by throwing two quarterbacks at Georgia Tech. Sean Glennon (left) is more of a pocket passer, while Tyrod Taylor provides a running threat.

The last time the Yellow Jackets visited Blacksburg Calvin Johnson led Georgia Tech to an impressive 38-27 win over the Hokies.

Glennon exposed Tech's defense in last year's 27-3 Virginia Tech win, completing 22 of 32 throws for 296 yards and two scores. He threw touchdown passes of 71 and 40 yards. But things were not all good for Glennon, who met up with Georgia Tech defensive end Michael Johnson on this play.

Georgia Tech's top receiving threat Demaryius Thomas could miss Saturday's game. That would leave Tech with two freshmen at wide receiver.

Scott Blair, who has missed four of his first five field-goal attempts, will have to be better against Virginia Tech.

Offensive guard A.J. Smith, who missed the Boston College game, is expected to be back and add some depth to the Yellow Jackets' offensive line.

Josh Nesbitt did his damage on the ground against Boston College, but the sophomore also has been efficient in the passing game. He hasn't thrown an interception in 25 attempts

Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer is 16-1 in conference openers, 12-1 in the Big East and 4-0 in the ACC.

All eight Georgia Tech touchdowns this season have been scored by freshmen or sophomores. Jonathan Dwyer, a sophomore, is responsible for three of those scores.
