Ga. Tech's Sedric Griffin: One BIG Daddy

On the football field, Georgia Tech OL Sedric Griffin (right) is a hard hitter and a team leader.

Off the field, he's a Tech student, a husband and father. Wife Ashlyn (right) is working on degrees in finance and accounting at Georgia State. And then there's daughter Jordyn, who's a year old...

... and right into everything Daddy and Mommy are into, including a friendly game of Wii "Sports Resort."

"I want to be a CPA; he wants football," Ashlyn (left) says. "We really want to reach our goals, so we never stop. After Jordyn came, there's no room for failure. We have to make it for her. We're not going to stop."

"It's tough, very tough at times," Griffin says, describing everything he and his wife are doing. "I pray and keep everything on the line."

"I'm really, really proud of Sedric," Tech head football coach Paul Johnson says. "He's not only doing much better in football, school, being a husband, and daddy. He's really turned a corner."
