Georgia Tech will play at Penn State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. It will be the first time the Yellow Jackets have played the Nittany Lions since Dec. 2008 in that year’s challenge.

The teams will play Nov. 29 in State College, Pa. The Jackets, who did not participate in the challenge last year, are 6-9 overall in the event. They were 2-2 under coach Brian Gregory.

The trip to State College will be the first ever for Tech in team history. The teams have played three times, including twice in the challenge, with all three games at Alexander Memorial Coliseum.

Penn State was 16-16 last season and 7-11 in Big Ten play. The ACC won the first 10 challenges, but the Big Ten has won five of the past seven, with the leagues tying in the two other years.
