Four-star center from Decatur, Ga. Ikechukwu Obiagu announced on Wednesday that he narrowed his college decision to six schools including Georgia Tech.

In a post on his Twitter page, Obiagu announced that his top six schools are Maryland, Georgia Tech, NC State, Baylor, Florida State and Long Beach State.

Listed at 42nd on ESPN’s 100 top recruits for 2017, the 7-foot, 230 pound senior from Greenforest McCalep Christian Academy was give an 88 overall rating.

With 24 total offers, Obiagu is listed sixth on 247 Sports’ top 2017 recruits in Georgia.

Obiagu has been busy in September narrowing his search — he officially visited Tech on Aug. 30 and Maryland on Sept. 2, and unofficially visited Florida State on Sept. 10, according to 247 Sports.

Obiagu’s height and shot-blocking power would be a major improvement to Tech’s basketball program as no current players are listed above 6-foot-10. The only center on the Yellow Jackets’ roster is junior Ben Lammers, one of two 6-foot-10 Jackets.
