Georgia Tech will move back the tipoff time of its weeknight home nonconference games 30 minutes to 7:30 p.m. to accommodate requests of fans.

The change will affect five games, including the exhibition game against Shorter Nov. 5. It was made in response to feedback from season-ticket holders and other Tech fans asking for more time to get to the weeknight contests.

“It’s important that we do everything we can to fill McCamish Pavilion and give our fans every opportunity to get in their seats by tipoff,” coach Josh Pastner said in a statement.

The other games impacted are against Southern University (Nov. 14), Sam Houston State (Nov. 22), Wofford (Dec. 22) and North Carolina A&T (Dec. 28). The Yellow Jackets begin the season Nov. 11 at home against Tennessee Tech.
