With the considerable exception of wide receiver DeAndre Smelter’s season-ending ACL tear, Georgia Tech is in good shape from an injury standpoint.

All available players practiced Wednesday, including linebacker P.J. Davis and A-back Tony Zenon, who suffered undisclosed injuries in the Georgia game this past Saturday and did not return.

Coach Paul Johnson said that Smelter will have surgery after he participates in graduation ceremonies Dec. 13.

“He’s crushed,” Johnson said of Smelter’s reaction to the injury. “But he’s a strong guy. He’ll be alright. He’ll get it fixed, he’ll be back.”
