Georgia Tech freshman guard Elizabeth Balogun was named ACC rookie of the year Wednesday, becoming the third Tech player in team history to earn the honor.

Balogun leads the Yellow Jackets in scoring at 14.8 points per game, which ranks 14th in the ACC, first among conference freshmen and eighth nationally among freshmen. She also ranks 10th in the blocked shots per game with 1.2.
