Former Georgia Tech cornerback Step Durham will get a tryout with the Tennessee Titans at their rookie mini-camp in two weekends. The agreement was made on Sunday, Durham said.

“I feel great,” Durham said Monday. “Just to have an opportunity is a blessing. Just ready to play football.”

Durham is among eight former Yellow Jackets who either made an NFL roster as an undrafted free agent this weekend after the draft or will have a rookie mini-camp tryout. Durham started 23 games in his Tech career and led the team this past season with six passes defended.

Durham said that he had originally agreed to attend the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie mini-camp on tryout basis but then switched to Tennessee, believing it was a better opportunity. Last year, the Titans brought in 27 players to try out at their rookie mini-camp and signed four.
