State’s best college basketball team? Answer might surprise you
The best men’s college basketball team in the state -- purely from a win-loss standpoint -- doesn’t reside in Athens, Statesboro or Kennesaw in Cobb County.
It resides in Atlanta, and it’s not the one you’re thinking from downtown Atlanta.

Morehouse College is 18-0 and currently holds the distinction of being the lone unbeaten team in either Division I or Division II men's college basketball. Grady High graduate Tyrius Walker leads the Maroon Tigers with 23.4 points per game.
Morehouse's Atlanta University Center neighbor, Clark Atlanta, isn't too shabby either with a 19-1 record. Morehouse, ranked 7th in Division II, and 21st-ranked Clark Atlanta will meet twice in the next three weeks - Feb. 8 at Clark Atlanta and Feb. 22 at Morehouse.
