SEC title games in Atlanta

Since 1994, Atlanta has been home to the SEC Championship Game. Here's a look at every game played at the Georgia Dome before it moves to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Auburn had defeated the Gamecocks, 35-27, in Auburn during the regular season. In Atlanta, Auburn broke the SEC Championship Game records for most offensive yards, most points scored and largest margin of victory with their 56-17 thrashing of South Carolina in the 2010 SEC title game. The Tigers advanced to capture a national title.

The Bulldogs and Tigers met for the third time in the SEC Championship Game in 2011 in Atlanta. The Bulldogs took an early lead over the top-ranked Tigers, but LSU snagged control behind the MVP play of cornerback Tyrann Mathieu. With their 42-10 win LSU moved to 4–1 in SEC Championship Games and Georgia fell to 2–2.
