Georgia head coach Mark Richt says he is not familiar with the reason for Florida head coach Urban Meyer's sudden resignation, but wished him well.

“I have the highest level of respect for Urban Meyer," Richt said through a spokesman Saturday night. "I really have no knowledge of any details about the situation or what led to his decision, but my prayers will certainly be with him and his family.”

The 45-year-old Meyer resigned Saturday, calling it quits after five seasons in Gainesville and two national titles, citing health reasons.

Meyer went 4-1 in five meetings against Richt's Georgia Bulldogs in Jacksonville, Fla.
